Medical Pedicure

While a traditional cosmetic pedicure focuses on making toenails look as good as possible and can get rid of SOME dead skin, it ignores medical problems and can even create them. Not to mention, your feet are also on display in front of other customers.

Anyone can call a pedicure a "medical pedicure" but do they have the credentials and experience that it really takes??

Advanced Ankle & Foot Center has the only Certified Master Pedicurist/Medical Nail Technician in Columbus, Georgia.

Our Certified Master Pedicurist has taken every class possible to make sure you have the care that you deserve. Danielle also is a Certified Medical Nail Technician, and works as a medical assistant with her Podiatrist husband when she's not doing pedicures!

This is not a "fluff and buff" service. This is the first step to happy, healthy nails.

The KeryFlex nail is an immediate cosmetic improvement providing a natural looking nail. It is unaffected by acetone, nail polishes or detergents.

What is a medical pedicure?

A medical pedicure is a noninvasive procedure performed by highly skilled foot care specialists who combine nail care with podiatry.

Advanced Ankle & Foot Center has the only Certified Master Pedicurist/Medical Nail Technician in Columbus, Georgia.

After evaluating your feet, your provider cleans the toenails and feet, trim nails, and removes corns, calluses, and ingrown nails if necessary. They finish cleaning your feet and remove any lingering dead skin. Then, they hydrate your feet to prevent them from drying out and cracking.

  • A full assessment of the condition of skin, feet, and toenails
  • Extensive cleansing and cleaning of the toes and feet
  • Buffing of the feet and removal of dead skin
  • Smoothing of dry and cracked heels
  • Sanding, buffing, and shaping of nails
  • Corn and callus removal
  • Ingrown toenail removal
  • Restoration of natural toenail  (if necessary)
  • At home education to keep your feet heading in the right direction.

Advanced Ankle & Foot Center has the highest standards for sanitation and hygiene. All equipment undergoes sterilization, preventing the spread of fungus, germs, and disease.

How does a medical pedicure differ from a regular mani-pedi?

Unlike nail salons, medical professionals are trained to examine and treat nail and foot disorders using advanced tools and equipment with the strictest hygiene protocols.

Also, a medical pedicure is performed in the private setting of a medical clinic or office instead of a salon.

Why go with a dry pedicure???

First off, they are safer than traditional pedicures because they avoid the risk of waterborne pathogensand cross-contamination.

Better for your nails.

Dry pedicures help maintain the natural moisture balance of your nails, which can prevent chipping and peeling.

Better for your polish.

Because your nails do not expand from soaking in water, your polish will last longer.

Easier to address problems.

Soaking feet can cause cuticles to expand, which can in turn lead to excess removal, over-cutting, and/or nipping the skin.

Products works better.

Our pedicures last longer because we are not battling water with our products. After soaking, your skin has absorbed water and not our products. No good. We need to see what we are working with, what is dead skin and what is healthy.
